Murrayburn Primary School, 1 Sighthill Loan, Edinburgh, EH11 4NP

Salary: £33,594 - £50,589 (pro-rata for part time)
Hours: 27.5 per week

Murrayburn Primary School is in the west of the city in the Sighthill area. We have 12 mainstream classes and an early years provision (nursery class).

Murrayburn Primary School has three Enhanced Support Base Classes supporting pupils placed there through the City of Edinburgh Resource Group (ERG) process. Pupils placed in the classes will usually have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and almost all will also have a co-existing condition (e.g. Intellectual Disability, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties). Class size is 8 pupils per class. Classes are supported by a class teacher and a team of three support staff - Pupil Support Worker or Nursery Nurse (EYP).

The part-time teaching vacancy is to share a class and cover colleagues in the ESB for RCCT. The teacher will work across the classes 3.5 days per week. Working days can be discussed at interview.

We anticipate that due to the summer break interviews will take place at the start of the new session in mid August 2025 with a view to starting the position in late September or early October. This is a permanent role.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions. Please check out our website www.murrayburnprimaryschool.com
