Salary: £31,586 to £34,314 per annum

Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Location: County Hall, West Street, Chichester PO19 1RQ

This role requires the successful candidate to work at a designated office, provide support remotely or work flexibly across WSCC office hubs, dependent on service needs.
Regular attendance at your base location will also be necessary, and there will be opportunities for remote work. Final arrangements will be confirmed with the successful candidate.
About The Job
Our work in the Catering team brings a unique experience each day, filled with unexpected challenges and rewards! There are several key responsibilities that are likely to be integral to this role, including:
- Responsible for overseeing the delivery of administrative services for the Catering team, inspiring and guiding a dedicated group of administrators.
- Alongside your team, you will undertake a variety of administrative tasks using the council's core systems, engaging directly with residents, their representatives, fellow professionals, internal and external contacts, and service providers.
- Prepare precise and dependable reports, including statistical and other administrative activity data, passionately committed to delivering insightful Adhoc and regular reports that uncover issues and ensure we stay aligned with our objectives.
- Coordinate employees to work together effectively, inspiring a shared commitment to achieve service objectives and ensuring that flexible administrative support across the entire service is thoughtfully and reliably in place.
- Passionately mentor, inspire, and elevate the skills and capabilities of your colleagues, empowering them to excel in their tasks and fostering the continuous growth and development of the entire team.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- A relevant HNC (Higher National Certificate) or HND (Higher National Diploma), or equivalent experience in providing office-based administrative support services, with a solid understanding of best practice standards.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Experience supervising individuals and teams, including mentoring and coordinating staff and activities to achieve team goals.
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters in a professional and discreet manner.
- Effective supervisory, coaching, and performance management skills that inspire and empower, including the ability to provide clear direction and support to individuals and teams, even across diverse disciplines or locations.
- Excellent numeracy skills to interpret and provide informed guidance on complex data.
- Strong ability to make practical, well-considered problem-solving decisions that positively influence the wider service.
