Summary
Crofton Academy are seeking to recruit an organised and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our well established and successful science department from September 2025.
The successful candidate will:
Ensure that rooms are prepared prior to lessons with appropriate resources.
Ensure safe working practices through accurate planning and risk assessment.
Manage/audit stock, organise and store safely all equipment, chemicals and resources.
Will have strong communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
Be able to demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
Have a methodical and consistent approach to the organisation of the workload.
Have the ability to assist Teachers in the delivery of the practical requirement of the Science curriculum.
Undertake and maintain a first aid qualification to be able to provide first aid assistance and cover as and when required.

A good communicator with excellent inter-personal skills
Able to work under pressure, using their own initiative.
Able to prioritise tasks effectively and ensure a high level of accuracy.
Flexible and hardworking with a desire to learn.
Have an ability to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff.
