The Regional Chef Lead will play a key role in supporting the ISS team and inspiring the wider catering teams to deliver exceptional, safe, and innovative food services to our clients and customers.

This role is critical in shaping and developing the food offering across designated catering operations, ensuring that every aspect of food production meets budgetary requirements, adheres to company and client standards, and complies with all statutory regulations.

Job Description

Working closely with onsite catering teams, the Food Account Manager, and the Operations Performance Food team, the Regional Chef Lead will be instrumental in driving culinary excellence and delivering exciting, forward-thinking food solutions.

The role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for great food, who can lead by example, energise the team, and elevate the customer dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee menu creation, food production, and delivery across catering sites to ensure high standards and budget compliance.
Lead food service delivery at key hospitality events and support kitchen teams operationally.
Ensure compliance with all food safety and health & safety regulations, including Natasha’s Law.
Mentor site teams, deliver training on ISS catering systems, and support staff development.
Provide chef and management cover during absence due to holidays or sickness.
Act as the link between Food Development and site operations, promoting best practice.
Ensure use of approved suppliers and assess impacts of service changes before implementation.


Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Proven senior chef experience with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Relevant qualifications (7061/7062 or equivalent) and minimum Level 3 food hygiene.
Skilled in menu planning, cost control, and event catering delivery.
Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
Clear focus on food safety, health & safety, and compliance.
Excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Passionate, hands-on, and committed to high service standards.
