Job Description
We are currently seeking a Catering Administrator to support the catering management team in delivering a smooth and efficient service.
This role will involve handling a variety of administrative tasks essential to the day-to-day operation of the catering function.
Responsibilities include maintaining and filing food safety compliance documentation, managing staff training records, addressing staff payment queries, placing and coordinating orders, managing deliveries, and overseeing staff rostering.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
Your contribution will play a key part in ensuring our catering operations run seamlessly and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage ordering of provisions, uniforms, equipment and consumables to schedule.
Oversee daily cash count, banking, and accurate recording of retail takings.
Complete weekly stock recharges and financial book closures for catering.
Maintain monthly wastage records and submit for compliance.
Provide admin support on HR matters, meeting coordination, and service reporting.
Liaise with suppliers and manage queries professionally.
Update and distribute catering and retail menu materials as required.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a matrix organisation.
Proven ability to work effectively in both small teams and large, complex environments.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
High attention to detail with excellent accuracy in all tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills across all levels.
Adaptable, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
