Summary
The purpose of the Crewing Assistant is primarily to support the crewing team and wider offshore NMMS function.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for consolidating liquidation of leave requests and coordinating between Crewing and Payroll teams to ensure timely payment to seafarers.
Produce reports from Crewing System to support wider crewing team in various functions such as appraisal reviews, debriefs and other required elements as directed.
Overall responsibility for arranging attendance for Senior Officer appraisals, office visits and prejoining briefings.
Liaising with all relevant stakeholders to ensure timely notice for attendance to Senior Officer appraisals, office visit and prejoining briefings.
Responsible for distribution of incoming mail to relevant personnel with department and distribution of outgoing mail as required.
Responsible for preparing Long Service awards for company Seafarers including maintenance of service award tracker.
Have a basic understanding of Marine Industry regulatory and certification legislation including but not limited to ISM Code, STCW and MLC 2006.
Attend and input to meetings when required, to meet strict deadlines.
You may be asked from time to time be asked to undertake other tasks that are considered to be relevant to your position.
Essential Criteria
2 Highers or Equivalent
Demonstratable experience in customer service environment or relevant industry experience.
Knowledge and understanding of the offshore sector, with a willingness to develop and grow in this sector.
Experience within office environment.
Able to adapt communication style and language to audience.
Highly Organised.
Ability to work under pressure.
Problem Solving.
Influencing / negotiation.
Relationship building/People Person.
