Summary
The Junior Purchasing Officer supports the Operational and Strategic Purchasing functions by supporting with administrative tasks, data entry and record keeping. The role will also provide purchasing support to a reduced allocation of vessels. A key part of the role is having a wide view of the purchasing function and processes and being able to identify where support is required in what is a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Data entry, order management and expedition of orders and RFQ’s in Aurora and Agresso purchasing systems.
Liaising with other business units, departments and stakeholders on supply related issues and updates.
Day to day assistance for the Purchasing Group
Housekeeping of the Aurora purchasing system.
Local stock management.
Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and associated administrative processes
Provide a constant source of quality goods and services to the fleet of managed vessels of various age and class trading on a global basis
Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers
Provide regular feedback on Approved Vendor performance
You may be asked from time to time be asked to undertake other tasks that are considered to be relevant to your position.
Implement and manage third party logistics
A strong understanding of how to manage ESG and the supply chain.
Occasional travel is required.
Candidate Requirements:
Hold National Qualifications or Equivalent
Previous Administrative Experience
Good communication skills
Confident with Microsoft Excel
Attention to detail
