The Opportunity

This new role represents an exciting opportunity to join Keele University’s Directorate of Student Support and Success. The Directorate consists of a range of specialist services that ensures students are supported and able to thrive within the academic environment.

We are looking for an ambitious individual to lead a range of professional services to maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive campus environment for our students, staff and visitors.

The role sits within the Directorate of Student Support and Success and the post holder will deliver a range of services with safety, inclusion, continuous improvement, and the student experience at the centre. The role holder will play a key role in the University’s approach to risk management, incident management, regulatory and best practice compliance. The University Warden has responsibility for key areas, such as our student residences, but also works across multiple areas of the University to ensure a holistic, efficient and effective approach to providing a safe and cohesive student environment.

The successful role holder will have experience of responding to complex student cases, as well incident management and risk assessment processes. They will have significant experience of leadership and management, and be able to positively engage team members, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement. They will also be able to work across teams, directorates and external agencies, and have a proven ability to communicate and influence at all levels.

The role will require a flexible approach and work outside of normal hours will be required and a house on campus can be provided.
