What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will:
• Provide effective behaviour management to pupils within the school
• Act as a role model, establishing productive and constructive working relationships with pupils
• Use specialist learning skills/training/experience to support pupils
• Have an understanding of child development and learning
• Have ability to relate well to pupils and adults
The essential requirements of this role are:
• Minimum of GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Evidence of further training/development and/or willingness to participate in further training and development opportunities e.g. Team Teach, Moving & Handling, Special Educational Needs and/or particular learning area such as sign language and bi-lingual
• Recent relevant experience of working with young people whose learning may have been impeded due to a range of circumstances
• Fluency of the English Language at an Advanced Threshold Level
• Experience of working with or supporting SEN/D pupils.
