Job Summary:
Atlantizenith Unipessoal Ltd – Domiciliary Care is looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our domiciliary care team across Essex County, including Basildon, Braintree, Brentwood, Castle Point, Chelmsford, Colchester, Epping Forest, Harlow, Maldon, and Rochford.

You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care to adults aged 18 and above, including older adults (65+), supporting them to live independently in their own homes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver personal care (washing, dressing, bathing, toileting)
Support with medication administration and monitoring
Assist with meal preparation, shopping, and domestic tasks
Enable service users to access their community and enjoy leisure activities
Provide companionship and emotional support
Promote independence, wellbeing, and safety
Maintain accurate records and promptly report concerns
Ensure respect, dignity, and choice in all care activities
Adhere to safeguarding principles and company policies
Work flexibly, including alternate weekends and evenings where required

What We Offer:
£12.81 hourly rate
37.5 hours per week (fulltime)

Mandatory Requirements:
Must have access to a car and a full UK driving licence
Must be able to undergo DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
Willing to obtain a Care Certificate if not already held
Must be willing to work towards Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification
Satisfactory reference checks will be required for the successful applicant
Must be eligible to work in the UK (this role does not qualify for visa sponsorship)

Person Specification:
Experience (Essential):
Previous experience in a care role
Experience communicating with and supporting vulnerable individuals
Ability to use initiative and learn new skills

Experience (Desirable):
Caring for a family member or friend
Familiarity with electronic care recording/rostering systems

Skills and Attributes:
Excellent communication and listening skills
Friendly, empathetic, and sensitive approach
Understanding of confidentiality and respect for diversity
Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
Physically able to carry out care tasks (e.g. personal care, manual handling, cooking)

IT Skills:
Basic IT literacy (Essential)
Experience with digital care systems (Desirable)

Qualifications:
Care Certificate – Preferred (or willingness to work towards it)
Level 2 NVQ / Diploma in Health and Social Care – Preferred (or willingness to complete)
