Are you a Complex Care Support Worker with experience working with complex care service users in Sheffield?
We are looking for reliable and punctual support workers who can work with a 4-year-old boy with cerebral palsy and associated complex care needs.
You will be working with another support working providing 2:1 support in a busy family home, also providing support to mum and dad.
Full training will be given.
Possible permanent job opportunity for the right person.
Must be a car driver and be able to drive client's vehicle.
There are dogs in the home, so a dog lover would be the ideal person
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Personal care
- Providing appropriate therapeutic and leisure activities in the home and wider community.
- Driving the client's vehicle
- Medication administration.
- To monitor care and medical supplies
Experience of the below is essential
- Suctioning
- Ventilation Management
- Catheter care
- Tube feeding
- Epilepsy management
General:
- Checking, charging, and cleaning of equipment
- Maintaining the child's safety in all environments
- To undertake some household duties as and when necessary
- Travel to hospitals or elsewhere for therapeutic care
- Complete daily records as advised including, time sheets, daily record sheets, medication sheets, petty cash sheets and critical incidents.
- In an emergency and in case of illness, to be flexible and to stand in for other staff members
Desirable skills:
- Previous experience in a healthcare role or working with complex children
- A health care or childcare related qualification
Shift Pattern
The post covers 36 hours per week worked over three 12-hour shifts working 8am until 8pm this includes some weekends and Bank Holidays.
Flexible working between Monday - Sunday
