Deputy Nursery Manager – £32,000
Our client is looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join their dedicated team and help lead a thriving, child-focused early years setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic childcare professional with leadership potential to step into a key role where they’ll be valued, supported, and empowered to make a real difference.
As the Deputy Nursery Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the daily running of the nursery, helping to ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are consistently maintained. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you’ll contribute to shaping a warm, inspiring, and inclusive environment where children can thrive.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years equivalent
- Proven experience in a nursery or early years setting, ideally in a leadership or senior role
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A warm, positive, and hands-on approach to working with children, families, and staff
- A commitment to continuous improvement and reflective practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Nursery Manager in all areas of nursery operations, including Ofsted compliance, safeguarding, and curriculum planning
- Supervise and mentor staff, providing clear leadership and ongoing professional development
- Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities that reflect the EYFS framework
- Foster strong relationships with children, families, and the wider nursery community
- Step into the Nursery Manager role when required, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Support with recruitment, rota planning, and staff appraisals
