A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Telford is looking for a motivated Psychology graduate to join their team as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time, term-time role offers the perfect chance to develop hands-on skills in a supportive educational environment that aligns with therapeutic and psychology-based career paths.
What This Role Offers:-
Full-time position during term-time (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm)

Gain valuable experience supporting SEN pupils while exploring careers linked to psychology and therapy
Key Responsibilities:-
Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs

Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies

Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN coordinators, and external specialists such as educational psychologists and speech therapists

Create a nurturing, positive environment that encourages student growth and confidence

Build practical experience that supports further study or professional development
Who We’re Looking For:-
Recent Psychology graduate (2:1 degree or above preferred)

Strong interest in SEN, child development, or therapeutic education roles

Empathetic, patient, and effective communicator who builds strong relationships

Experience supporting children in any setting is a plus but not essential

Reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a dynamic school environment
