Are you a Psychology graduate with a passion for child development, eager to gain practical experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Telford is looking for a motivated Psychology graduate to join their team as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time, term-time role offers the perfect chance to develop hands-on skills in a supportive educational environment that aligns with therapeutic and psychology-based career paths.

What This Role Offers:
  • Full-time position during term-time (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm)

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs


    • Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies


    • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN coordinators, and external specialists such as educational psychologists and speech therapists


    • Create a nurturing, positive environment that encourages student growth and confidence


    • Build practical experience that supports further study or professional development


      Who We’re Looking For:
      • Recent Psychology graduate (2:1 degree or above preferred)


      • Strong interest in SEN, child development, or therapeutic education roles


      • Empathetic, patient, and effective communicator who builds strong relationships


      • Experience supporting children in any setting is a plus but not essential


      • Reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a dynamic school environment
