As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll take on a key leadership role—mentoring junior staff, contributing to care planning, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic setting where children can grow and thrive.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
  • Proven experience in a Children’s Residential Support Worker role
  • Solid understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted regulations
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to care
  • Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Resilient, patient, and passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary: £31,000 per year
  • Company pension scheme
  • Free meals while on shift
  • Fully funded training and recognised qualifications
  • Paid DBS check
  • Comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and emotional support to children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Be a positive role model, promoting healthy routines, positive behaviour, and emotional resilience.
  • Support children with complex needs through structured activities, education, and daily living tasks.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Work closely with external professionals (e.g. social workers, schools, health services) to implement and review personalised care plans.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
