Summary
Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Advisor to join our Central Operations Team in a field based role.. This role is will cover our stores in the Northern and Central regions of the UK where you will play a key role in supporting our stores and regional teams by promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Role Responsibility
- Promote a safe working and shopping environment by ensuring colleagues and managers understand their health and safety responsibilities.
- Deliver regional induction training and coach Store Managers during risk assessments and store visits.
- Identify risks during store visits and provide on-the-spot coaching to improve safety practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and claims thoroughly, offering guidance to prevent recurrence.
- Support new store openings by conducting initial safety assessments and helping develop action plans.
- Monitor safety data to identify trends and provide targeted coaching and support.
- Ensure consistent use of risk assessment, incident, and claims management systems across all stores.
- Contribute to the development of health and safety policies in collaboration with the Head of Group Health & Safety.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in retail operations across multiple locations.
- Previously worked as a Risk Advisor, Safety Advisor, or Health and Safety Advisor.
- Holds a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing their own diary and workload.
- Uses data and insights to identify trends and risk areas.
- Communicates complex issues clearly and effectively.
- Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and approachable.
