QA Assistant (Maternity Cover) required for a Company specialising in fresh produce. This position will be until May 2026.
We are currently recruiting for a QA Assistant (Maternity Cover) within our client in Livingston. Working within the Produce team, the successful candidate will need to be able to plan-ahead and think on their feet. This position will be until May 2026.
Experience of working within a Production environment would be beneficial, as would some fresh produce knowledge. Relevant experience of working within a fast-paced environment and a good working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures is essential.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for carrying out production assessments of products.
• Record results and allocate according to the customer requirements.
• To ensure, by inspection, that finished products comply with specification.
• Conduct inspections accurately as and when required in the production schedule.
• Calibrate production equipment.
• Ensure compliance to customer and product specifications as well as effective problem solving, training and technical assistance as required.
• Address problems as soon as they arise with Line Supervisors, Quality Manager and Production Management on an ongoing basis.
KEY SKILLS:
Ÿ Previous experience in food production environment.
Ÿ Excellent attention to detail.
Ÿ Flexible.
Ÿ Very good English communication skills.
Ÿ Experience of working in a busy working environment.
OTHER INFORMATION
Ÿ Full training will be given.
Ÿ Some degree of flexibility will be required in terms of shifts and hours of work, in order to meet the demands of the business.
