We are seeking an inspiring and caring experienced Nursery Deputy Manager, to work in an excited and highly motivated hard working team.

The role is perfect for someone who is currently working as a Deputy Nursery Manager and looking to embark on a new challenge or a Senior who is keen to progress within the Early Years sector.

As the Deputy Manager, you will help lead the staff to deliver and ensure all children receive quality care, help extend the child’s learning. Create, plan, and implement activities and experience which help support all aspects of the EYFS.

Key Responsibilities:

Create lasting relationships with parents, carers, and families.
Supporting the Nursery Manager
Playing a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment that promotes children’s learning for 0-5 years.
To be responsible for leading a room
Deputise in the absence of the Nursery Manager where appropriate.
To be responsible for opening and closing the nursery when required.
Assist in developing and implementing engaging educational programmes in line with the EYFS framework.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, health and safety regulations, and early years standards.
New parent show-arounds and customer-facing responsibilities

To be successful in this role you should:

Have a Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
At least 2 years minimum working as a Nursery manager or deputy required
Strong Leadership & Management skills
Passion for Early Years Education working with children and supporting their development.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Understanding of nursery management practices and relevant legislation.
Sound working knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted legislation and regulation, 0-5 years.
Well-versed in dealing with Safeguarding related concerns that might arise
Safeguarding is of utmost importance and we pride ourselves in ensuring our children and families are safe and offered support where needed. Therefore, good safeguarding knowledge is essential but regular updated training will be provided.

All applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of this will be covered by Brambles Day Nursery. All applicants are required to subscribe to the DBS Update service and maintain the annual fee of £13.00.
