Summary

A reputable construction and refurbishment company based in Manchester is seeking a qualified and experienced Painter with either SSSTS or SMSTS certification to join our growing team on an ongoing project. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on a leadership role on site while still being hands-on with high-quality painting and finishing work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out painting and decorating duties to a high standard on residential and commercial sites.

  • Oversee small teams or sub-contractors as needed.

  • Ensure all site work complies with health and safety regulations.

  • Liaise with site management and contractors to ensure efficient workflow.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.

  • Conduct basic reporting and paperwork related to site supervision.

Requirements:

  • Valid SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.

  • Proven experience in painting and decorating (NVQ Level 2/3 or time-served).

  • CSCS Card (preferred).

  • Own tools and PPE.

  • Ability to read drawings/specs and work unsupervised.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
