Summary




· To abstract and analyse complex clinical information and to assign codes using ICD10 and OPCS4 and enter these codes on to the trust’s system.

This post is also subject to a 20% Recruitment and Retention premium.

The work location is negotiable and not limited to Ealing.

This is a hybrid working role.



· To abstract and analyse complex clinical information and to assign codes using ICD10 and OPCS4 and enter these codes on to the trust’s PAS system.



· Work as a member of the clinical coding team with responsibility for the coding of allocated wards



· Where a discharge summary is incomplete the coder will be responsible for extracting co-morbidities and other relevant supplementary information from handwritten, complex medical notes including retrieving histological results to ensure specificity and completeness of diagnostic coding
