Summary
Truro and Penwith College is seeking an outstanding Deputy Head of Faculty to support the strategic growth and daily operations of our high-performing Occupational Automotive Department. Your Role: Driving Quality and Innovation
Reporting to the Head of Faculty, you will:
• Drive curriculum innovation and delivery aligned with national standards and emerging industry trends
• Supporting high-quality curriculum design and delivery
• Championing dynamic, responsive learning that aligns with current and emerging industry trends
• Embed a culture of quality assurance and continuous improvement across teaching, learning, and assessment
• Champion learner outcomes, behaviour, and attendance, ensuring positive destinations
• Lead on staff development, mentoring, and performance management
• Engaging with employers to develop meaningful work placement and apprenticeship opportunities
• Collaborate with local employers to shape curriculum relevance and ensure robust, future-focused provision
• Support strategic planning, faculty budgeting, resourcing, and data-informed decision making
• Model exceptional classroom practice through a partial teaching load.
