Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English and have a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Maintain accurate care plans and documentation to track clients progress and needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to IT systems used for care documentation.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Willing to complete a Level 2 Health & Social Care Qualification.
- Familiarity with following care plans is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies related to care management is beneficial.
- A valid UK driving licence is required.
