Summary
Duties include, but are not limited to: To work as an autonomous practitioner, taking responsibility for the management of patients on own caseload without direct supervision. To work as an individual within the outpatient physiotherapy teams, providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advise for a range of conditions and complexities. To work within a specialist multidisciplinary on the elective orthopaedic and trauma orthopaedic wards and support safe and effective discharge from the hospital. To regularly assist in the planning and delivery of departmental training and educational sessions, to further professional and personal development of self and others, working with the support of senior staff members if required. To support the learning and development of junior physiotherapists and student physiotherapist working within the department. To maintain accurate clinical records in line with the trust and professional body codes of practice. To develop effective communication links with patients, carers and all associated members of the specialist multidisciplinary teams in relation to the patient care and conditions. To participate in research and audit within the departments and to take initiative on areas that would benefit from further research or audit.
