Summary
We are looking for a friendly, well-organised and adaptable person to work alongside other civilians and military personnel and be part of the team.
Key responsibilities:
Keep tools and equipment in the tool store secure and fit for use, reporting any loss or damage to the TQMS.
Provide a focal point to the workshop for technical information and advice.
Process all demands for Expense stores.
Process all receipts & issues for Expense stores, tools and equipment demanded; including highlighting discrepancy details to the TQMS.
Assist the TQMS and any inspecting officer in physical stock checks and any subsequent documentation.
Assist the TQMS and workshop staff to prepare equipment for backloading or issue outside the unit.
Maintain an acceptable quality of service and professionalism in the discharge of Skillzone 2 Storeman duties whilst being constantly aware of health and safety aspects within areas of personal control including the health and safety of subordinate staff in accordance with JSP 375.
Remain flexible and be prepared to react to emerging work within skill set.
In-house and external training related to the role will be provided.
Please note: A storekeeper role requires a degree of physical ability as you will be expected to handle items around the working area. In accordance with HSE guidance, the recommended maximum manual handling weight that applicants can expect to lift is 25kg (for men) or 16kg (for women).
