Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Account Executive with a strong background in commercial combined insurance and a clear focus on new business development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive, “hunter” mentality - someone who is motivated by identifying and securing new opportunities, while also maintaining and growing an existing portfolio. Agricultural or farming sector experience is advantageous due to the rural client base, though not essential.

The role involves managing a book of approximately £100,000, comprising a mix of longstanding rural clients and newer SME accounts. The successful candidate will be expected to drive growth through business development while delivering high service standards across farming, haulage, and commercial combined risks. Strong handler support is in place to assist with day-to-day client servicing.

This position is based in the Spalding office, with hybrid working arrangements, typically two days per week in-office. Candidates based further afield, such as Peterborough or Rutland, may use the Leicester office as an alternative. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential due to the need for regular client visits.

The role offers a salary of up to £60,000, depending on experience, with clear new business targets to be agreed. This is a key opportunity to join a collaborative and well-established team, with a structured handover and strong long-term growth potential.
