Sowden & Sowden is an award-winning creative and digital agency in Yorkshire with four decades of experience, an established track record and a portfolio of long-standing local, national and international clients.
The agency is based in bespoke built 19th century coach house in the leafy suburbs close to the Humber Bridge in one of the most beautiful areas of the country close to the coast, rolling countryside and major city cultural hots spots.
We’re looking for a forward thinking, self-motivated freelance Bookkeeper to join our team, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. This is a freelance position requiring 1-2 days per week.
You’ll be responsible assisting the Accountant with the day-to-day management and reconciliation of the sales and purchase ledger plus other duties as requested to assist in the running of a busy office, to include:
• Sales invoice generation within Synergist our CMS system
• Client’s statement generation and chasing debtors
• Banking and receipts
• Processing supplier invoices and matching to purchase orders within our CMS system
• Processing and matching receipts for the company credit card
• Petty cash receipts and reconciliation
• Exporting sales invoices and purchase invoices to SAGE
• Filing
• Other adhoc duties as requested by the Accountant or other team members.
We’re looking for someone who is experienced in Sage and Excel spreadsheets and who can adapt to using various software systems.
