Summary

Sir John Leman Sixth Form is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Head of Football to establish a Post-16 Football Academy and Education Programme.  This post is initially being recruited on a fixed term basis (to 31 August 2026).

The successful candidate will: 

>Lead and develop a high-performing football academy, ages 16-18 boys and girls

>Plan, deliver, and innovate coaching sessions that challenge and inspire

>Preferably proven strategic experience in developing and implementing football programmes.

>Have the ability to design and implement long-term football development plans that enhance player performance, progression, and support future pathways

>Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and external stakeholders

>Ideally a track record in building and maintaining partnerships with community stakeholders/clubs

>Preferably have previous football programme employment or experience in overseeing sport projects. 

>Drive the football academy’s growth and reputation within the local community and beyond.
