Summary

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting an experienced Groundworker / Plant Operator on behalf of their client who are a well-known & established civil engineering subcontractor.

This is a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate.

Duties will include site preparation, excavation, drainage installation, foundation preparation, operating machinery, trenching and ducting, concrete work and any other assocaitred work required by client.

Expected hours: 40 - 50 hours per week Monday to Friday.

You will require a flexible approach to working hours, as overtime (paid at premium rates) and holiday cover will be expected.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in groundworks / civilsValid
  • CCNSG safety passport or ability to get it.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering processes and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
  • Full driving license.

  • Self-starter and be able to manage own workload whilst working to client service level agreement

Desired Qualifications

  • CPCS / NPORS with CSCS - 360 Excavator / Dumper
  • IOSH
  • SSSTS
