£18.97 - £21.87 per hour Hours: 37 per week (Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-3:30pm)

Full driving licence requiredHays is recruiting for an experienced Floor Layer to join their Building Safety & Property Repairs team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair vinyl (cap and cove), lino, laminate, and carpet flooring.
  • Prepare and level floors using latexing and screeding techniques.
  • Work across a variety of domestic and public buildings, including sheltered housing and care homes.
  • Support major refurbishments, new builds, and responsive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.


Essential Requirements:

  • Immediate availability.
  • Proven experience in wet room/bathroom vinyl and kitchen vinyl laying.
  • Latex floor preparation experience.
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
  • Experience working in local authority or public housing settings preferred.
