Summary

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Formby Area, Sefton Borough

A highly regarded primary school near Formby is seeking a motivated and compassionate Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team either from September! This full-time role is an excellent stepping stone for graduates who are passionate about inclusive education and making a real impact in the lives of young learners.

The Role:

    • Job Title: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
    • Location: Near Formby, Sefton Borough, Liverpool
    • Start Date: September start!
    • Contract: Full-time, term-time only until July 2026 initially
    • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (32.5 hours/week)
    • Salary: Up to £540 per week (dependent on experience)

    You’ll work closely with students who require additional support, delivering 1:1 and small group interventions, and helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You’ll work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies that help pupils reach their full potential.

    What We’re Looking For: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

      • A recent graduate with a 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education, or a related subject
      • A strong interest in pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support
      • Any previous experience supporting children (in school, youth work, or voluntary roles) is a bonus – but not essential!
      • A proactive, empathetic, and patient attitude
