Deputy Care Home Manager | Brand-New Learning Disabilities Care Home | Up to £33,000
Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Leadership Opportunity

Our client is opening the doors to a brand-new residential care home for adults with learning disabilities—and is now looking for a compassionate and capable Deputy Home Manager to help lead the way.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative care service from the very beginning. The ideal candidate will be experienced in care home leadership, passionate about person-centred support, and confident navigating safeguarding responsibilities and CQC compliance.

As Deputy Home Manager, you’ll support the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring a safe, caring, and empowering environment for residents. You'll lead a team of care professionals and work closely with families and external agencies to maintain exceptional care standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Home Manager or in a similar senior care role
  • Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding practices
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in the operational leadership of the care home
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC standards and safeguarding protocols
  • Lead and mentor care staff, supporting supervision and professional development
  • Establish and action referral pathways for safeguarding adults and concerns of abuse
  • Participate in recruitment, staff training, and performance reviews
  • Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and health & social care professionals
