Summary

Opportunity Overview

The School of Health and Society seeks to appoint an Apprenticeships Officer to support the School’s apprenticeship programmes. The post-holder will support the School Apprenticeships Manager and will work closely with other members of the Apprenticeships team, the School’s wider professional services teams and central University professional service teams (such as the Apprenticeship Support Unit), to ensure the effective and efficient administration and delivery of our apprenticeships.

A key part of this role will be to support the effective delivery of apprenticeships ensuring that all activities, tasks and associated documentation is completed and accurately maintained to provide evidence to support the mandatory requirements of the Department for Education (DfE). The post holder will be expected to facilitate the ongoing enhancement and adherence to standards in the delivery of the University's degree and higher apprenticeship programs and contracts, including DfE and Ofsted. The role will support and assist in the daily operations of the School’s Apprenticeship team and Programmes teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and achievement of University key performance indicators (KPIs) throughout the apprenticeship journey. The role involves supporting performance and compliance monitoring, as well as the precise collection and analysis of apprenticeship data across the School.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a front-line professional service to employers and outstanding customer experience to apprentices in all aspects of degree apprenticeship programme administration.
  • Provide administrative support to the School Apprenticeships Team Manager & Compliance Lead.
  • Supporting with collating evidence for apprenticeship programmes such as progress review meeting records, updated commitment statements and completing change of circumstances forms.
  • Ensuring apprentice and student records are up to date and reflective of their programme status.
  • Work to ensure implementation of University apprenticeship policies and processes relating to the delivery of apprenticeship programmes e.g. participation and attendance are upheld and supported.
  • Update and maintain apprenticeship specific trackers and data sets to ensure apprenticeship compliance is upheld and maintained for all relevant stakeholders.
