About the role
The ESG Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the group’s ESG strategy, assisting in data collection, reporting, and communication of sustainability initiatives. This role will provide administrative support while gaining exposure to strategic ESG projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate and embed ESG considerations into all aspects of operations and culture.

Strategic ESG Support:
• Assist in the implementation of the group’s ESG strategy, aligning with the mission and business objectives.
• Support the identification and monitoring of ESG risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to social responsibility, community engagement, and employee well-being initiatives by providing administrative and research support.
• Support the collection and consolidation of ESG data from various departments.
Environmental Management Support:
• Assist in data collection for carbon footprint assessments, energy usage, waste management and water usage.
• Maintain records of environmental initiatives and contribute to data entry for ESG reports.
• Provide administrative support for compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Assist in the promotion of sustainable practices across the organisation.
Social Responsibility Support:
• Coordinate data collection for DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives and social value initiatives.
• Support stakeholder engagement efforts by compiling information and creating summary reports for social value tracking.
• Coordinate community engagement activities and employee volunteering initiatives.
• Assist in tracking and reporting social value contributions, such as STEM events, charity support and employee well-being programs.
Governance & Risk Management Support:
• Support the maintenance and tracking of ESG policies, frameworks, and risk registers.
• Assist in monitoring ESG-related compliance requirements and updating internal stakeholders as needed.
• Provide administrative support in setting and tracking ESG targets and KPIs.
Reporting & Communication Support:
• Assist in the preparation of ESG reports, disclosures, and internal communications.
• Work closely with the marketing team to compile ESG achievements and initiatives for external communication.
• Help with the organisation and documentation of ESG content for presentations and reports.
Stakeholder Engagement Support:
• Support the coordination of stakeholder engagement activities, including internal and external meetings.
• Assist in compiling feedback from various departments to integrate into ESG strategy updates.
• Help maintain stakeholder contact lists and provide administrative support for ESG-related communications.
Development Opportunities:
• Gain exposure to ESG reporting frameworks such as SECR, TCFD, and GHG Protocol.
• Develop a working knowledge of carbon footprint calculations and social value metrics.
• Attend training sessions to further develop ESG knowledge and skills.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance understanding of ESG integration across the business.
Qualifications and experience
• 1-2 years of administrative experience in a related role (e.g., data management, compliance, reporting) – ideally within a corporate, facilities management, or environmental setting.
• Basic understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting standards (e.g., SECR, TCFD, GHG Protocol).
• Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly.
• Knowledge of social value measurement frameworks (e.g., TOMs) would be beneficial.
• A relevant ESG, sustainability, or environmental qualification (e.g., IEMA Foundation Certificate, GRI Standards Training, Carbon Literacy Training) would be beneficial but not essential.
