We’re looking for a Technical Housing Improvements Officer to join our Private Sector Housing team, where you’ll play a key role in transforming homes for residents who need it most, helping them live comfortably and securely.

As a Technical Housing Improvements Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of improving housing standards across Wiltshire. You’ll assess properties and coordinate adaptations that ensure homes meet the needs of disabled and vulnerable residents. By working closely with health professionals, occupational therapists and contractors, you’ll help deliver essential home improvements. Your expertise will ensure that grants and loans are processed efficiently, giving residents the assistance they need to live independently.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Whether you have a degree in Housing, Surveying, or Environmental Health, or bring equivalent experience, we’d love to hear from you. An understanding of housing legislation, including the Housing Act 2004 and DFG regulations, is essential. We are looking for someone who can make thoughtful decisions and work sensitively with people from a variety of circumstances.
