About the role
We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Parking Services Team as Civil Enforcement Officers. In this role, you will be an integral part of the local community, by ensuring public safety and keeping the area uncongested and accessible by patrolling public streets and local council car parks to ensure that car parking regulations are being followed.

In this role, you will:

guide the public on rules and advise about parking provisions in a friendly and effective manner
patrol public streets and council car parks, issuing Penalty Charge Notices when required
report any defects to street furniture, such as signs and road markings
carry out checks and basic maintenance to the systems and equipment within the car parks.
Due to the nature of the role, you should be able to demonstrate in your application where you have worked in a customer-focused setting and have excellent attention to detail.

We have 2 x full-time roles available and welcome applications for part-time, subject to meeting the needs of the service.

The full-time salary is £23,614 - £24,534 per annum, working 37 hours, 5 days per week, including alternate Saturdays. Saturday working is payable at an enhanced hourly rate (+10%).

About you
To be successful in this role, you must be aged 18 years or over and hold a full manual car driving license.

This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, and someone who can work outside in all weathers, working both independently and as part of a team.

An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
