Somerset Council is seeking an organised and detail-focused Pay, Benefits & Reward Advisor to provide vital administrative support to our Total Reward team during an exciting period of development. This is a newly created role and offers the flexibility of 100% remote working across a part-time schedule (Monday to Friday).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day admin support for pay, benefits, and job evaluation activities.
Coordinate documentation and data collection to support HR initiatives.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of job descriptions and organisational charts.
Support benchmarking, reporting and communication around employee reward strategies.
Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of reward activities.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience or understanding of reward, pay, or HR administrative processes.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a dispersed team.
Confident in handling sensitive data with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
A flexible and proactive mindset with a willingness to learn.
