We are seeking a talented and imaginative Creative Content Officer for our small, dynamic creative team within our Internal Communications and Engagement function. You will support a diverse government organisation by producing modern, compelling and cost-effective creative content that engages colleagues, champions our values, and brings key messages to life.
You’ll work on a range of projects including videos, podcasts, digital design and campaign materials - often with minimal or zero budgets - while ensuring consistency with brand and accessibility standards.
This role reflects a strong commitment to public service values - integrity, honesty, objectivity, and impartiality - and aims to promote an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative working culture.
Key responsibilities
- Leads on filming, editing and producing video content, including interviews, explainers and campaign pieces.
- Supports podcast production from scripting to editing and publishing.
- Designs campaign materials, infographics and digital content using Adobe and Canva.
- Works closely with stakeholders to develop visual storytelling approaches.
You will also be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents as this is central to what we do. Full training will be available.
The team
The Creative Team produces modern, compelling and cost-effective creative content that engages colleagues, champions our values, and brings key messages to life. The team is part of the wider Internal Communications and Engagement function within the Environment Agency, who take the lead role in setting the direction, coordination and discipline of all corporate communications and employee engagement.
Experience/skills required
We're looking for someone who will deliver rich, engaging and modern content for our internal channels who has:
- Experience in a creative or multimedia role
- A strong portfolio demonstrating impactful content across video, audio, graphic design or digital channels
Experience devising and landing messages to drive change
- Excellent understanding of brand, tone of voice, accessibility and inclusive design
The skills and knowledge required for this role:
- Skilled at working as part of a team and in collaboration with others
- Highly organised with the ability to handle multiple creative projects
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and editing tools for audio/video
Travel
The successful applicant should expect to travel to and work from Environment Agency offices on a regular basis. You will have a permanent office location which you can select during your application. National travel, potentially with overnight stays, will be needed occasionally.
