Summary

Job Summary

We are seeking a flexible, compassionate, and organised Clinic Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team at Beacon House. This part-time role will support the day-to-day functioning of our nurse-led clinic, working with vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness, insecure housing, and complex needs.

You will carry out a variety of administrative and basic clinical tasks to ensure the smooth running of services, including record keeping, follow-up calls, appointment coordination, and delivery of routine healthcare assistant (HCA) interventions. Full training and supervision will be provided, and no previous clinical experience is required — just the right values, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities
Administrative and Record-Keeping Duties

· Maintain accurate and timely records on SystmOne (training provided).

· Make follow-up phone calls to patients and liaise with external services.

· Assist with data entry, stock ordering, filing, scanning, and updating registers (e.g. vaccines, chronic conditions, smoking).

· Prepare and organise clinic spaces and paperwork for daily use.

· Support clinicians with patient engagement, follow-up reminders, and basic appointment coordination.

· Assist in audit or outcome tracking work when required.

Clinical Support Tasks (Training Provided)

· Take and record basic observations (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, height, oxygen saturation).

· Support vaccine delivery

· Encourage and facilitate attendance at routine screenings (cervical screenings, bowel screenings, cancer checks, NHS health checks).

· Support infection control and cleaning protocols within the clinical area.


Person Specification
Essential Desirable

· Compassionate and non-

judgemental · Previous admin or support role experience

· Good attention to detail · Experience with vulnerable populations

· Able to maintain confidentiality · Basic understanding of clinical procedures

· Team player with strong

communication · SystmOne or NHS IT system experience

· Willing to undergo full training · First Aid or HCA training

· Reliable and well-organised

Hours: 3 days per week, 9:30am–2:30pm
Salary: Agenda for Change Band 3 – (depending on experience / pro rata) Contract: Fixed Term – 1 Year (with potential to extend)

Reports to: Clinic Manager / Senior Nurse
