Summary
Holt Engineering are working with a world leading Foraging Manufacturer who are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Forge Operative to join their manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to contribute to a fast-paced, high-quality production environment.
A permanent position paying £12.21 Per hour
Working a 39 hour week: Monday to Wednesday 6am - 4pm and Thursday 6am - 3pm (4 Day week)
Key Responsibilities For the Forge Operative:
- Operate and monitor forging machinery and equipment safely and efficiently ( Manipulators/Overhead cranes)
- Handle hot metal components with the use of tongs and other tools
- Crane and Forklift Driving
- Ensure forged products meet dimensional and quality specifications
- Inspection for all components/hardness testing
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forge equipment
- Accurately follow technical instructions, work orders, and health & safety guidelines
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain a clean and safe work environment
To be a successful Forge Operative:
- Previous experience in a forging, foundry, or heavy manufacturing environment preferred
- Hold a valid Forklift or Overhead crane Licence
- Good understanding of health and safety in an industrial setting
- Physically fit with the ability to work in hot, noisy conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
