Facilities Officer - £ 32,178 per annum - Full time (35 hours per week)Join Our Team as a Facilities Officer!Are you a hands-on, proactive individual with a passion for maintaining high standards in a professional environment? Hightown is looking for a Facilities Officer to ensure the smooth running of Hightown House and the Caretakers' Unit. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same-you’ll be responsible for everything from health and safety checks to managing cleaning standards, car parking, and grounds maintenance. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring our facilities are running efficiently and will play a key role in supporting the wider team.Key Responsibilities as a Facilities Officer:Reporting and following up on repairs, liaising with contractors and caretakers to ensure timely resolutions.Conducting regular checks and testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting, intruder alarms, and legionella controls.Managing CCTV systems, entry fobs, and ensuring office equipment is serviced and maintained.Overseeing the cleanliness and readiness of meeting rooms, kitchens, and communal areas throughout the day.Monitoring and maintaining external grounds, including litter picking, weeding, and seasonal gritting.Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards through daily inspections and regular fire drills.Managing car park usage, resolving barrier issues, and enforcing parking policies.The ideal candidate will have:A practical, hands-on approach with experience in facilities or building maintenance.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience conducting routine safety checks.Confidence in liaising with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.Flexibility to work outside of standard hours when required.Basic IT skills for logging reports, managing CCTV, and ordering supplies.A proactive attitude and a commitment to maintaining high standards across all areas of responsibility.Why Join Us as a Facilities Officer?Opportunities for career growth and development.Work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.33 days of annual leave including Bank HolidaysCompetitive salary of £32,178 per annum (35-hour week)Monthly attendance bonusLife assurance cover (three times your annual salary)Access to favourable discounts and savings at high street retailers, gyms, restaurants, and cinemasOngoing training opportunities to develop your careerEmployee support and health & wellbeing servicesFree access to on-site gymReady to take on a key role in keeping Hightown House running smoothly?
