Summary


The Floyd Neuro Rehab Team have an exciting opportunity for a band 5 Physiotherapist to join our dedicated and passionate Multidisciplinary Team.

This is an exciting time to join the Floyd team as the Neuro Rehab teams in Greater Manchester are transforming, allowing opportunity for cross site working and exposure to increased learning opportunities. The Floyd Unit is managed by Salford Care Organisation and the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences (MCCN), it has established links with the Hyperacute and Acute SLT service at Salford, and more recently the Devonshire Unit, enabling opportunity for; peer support, maintenance, and development of skills in working with more complex and challenging patients. The transformational plans will require further development of specialist Neuro skills in managing patients with Tracheostomy and those in Prolonged disorder of Consciousness (PDoC) at the Floyd unit.

You will be a qualified and HCPC registered Physiotherapist with placement or work experience in assessment and management relevant to the adult Neuro Rehab caseload.

You will be passionate about Neuro Rehabilitation and creating a culture of continuous improvement, where patient centred care is at the heart of all you do.

You will demonstrate flexibility to work on alternative NCA sites as part of future rotations (if these become available)

You will gain experience and specialist skills in; assessment, goal setting, rehabilitation approaches, MDT working and support the discharge planning process for the neuro rehab caselod at the Floyd unit.

There will also be opportunity to develop skills in service development projects.

Your development will supported by the highly skilled Physiotherapists in the service, exposure and joint working with other members of the MDT will support professional and development as a neurorehabilitation practitioner. You will have support from the Neuro Rehab professional Lead team alongside the AHP lead at the Floyd unit.
