We are looking to find enthusiastic, motivated, hard-working, dedicated team members to join us this season on our family run farm. We need people who can bring a positive attitude to our farm and enjoy working with our friendly team. You will be working in a small team within our pumpkin and flower fields.

Previous farm experience is preferred but not required.
We are looking for people who can work quickly and efficiently, but who are also careful and able to follow directions. It is essential that you can work well with others and also independently. The work is physically demanding and attention to detail is critical. We have a strong emphasis on quality and you must be able to help us maintain this high level of quality. You will also be required to adhere to our safety procedures.

Work varies with the season and weather, but can often be repetitive. You must also be punctual and be able to work in all weather conditions. Be prepared for rain, hail, sun, wind, cold and heat during your time with us.

Working hours 5am - 3pm, 6 days per week.

Responsibilities:
1. Harvest pumpkins by hand or using appropriate tools, ensuring minimal damage to the produce.
2. Packing pumpkins carefully into boxes for transport and/or storage.
3. Inspect pumpkins for quality, including size, colour, and signs of damage or disease.
4. Removal of any damaged pumpkins from the fields.
5. Weeding of the pumpkin and flower fields - Weeding is an important task in maintaining the health and appearance of outdoor spaces.
6. Follow established guidelines for selecting ripe pumpkins suitable for sale or processing.
7. Safely lift and transport pumpkins to designated collection points or storage areas.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area to ensure efficient operations.
9. Collaborate with team members to coordinate harvesting activities and meet production targets.
10. Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of equipment and personal protective gear.
11. Report any issues or concerns regarding pumpkin quality, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervisors.
12. Assist with other tasks as needed, such as cleaning equipment, preparing fields, repairs and maintenance of the event site and/or equipment, pumpkin display creation, fencing around the site as required and other tasks associated with the pumpkins or flowers.

Requirements:
1. Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods.
2. Attention to detail and ability to differentiate between ripe and unripe pumpkins.
3. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling pumpkins carefully.
4. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
5. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during peak harvesting seasons.
6. Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to comply with regulations.
7. Previous experience in agriculture or farm work is beneficial but not required.
