Summary

We are currently recruiting for chefs for our well-established clients throughout the Worthing and surrounding areas.

Duties will include: Creating nutritious, balanced, and appetizing meals tailored to the dietary needs of elderly or vulnerable residents. This often means accommodating special diets such as low-sugar, low-sodium, gluten-free, or pureed foods for those with swallowing difficulties. Ensuring that all meals meet the nutritional guidelines and standards set by healthcare authorities to support residents’ health and wellbeing. Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards in line with legal requirements Offering variety of food choices while taking into account residents’ preferences, cultural requirements, and any allergies or intolerances. Managing kitchen supplies efficiently, ordering ingredients, and controlling food costs without compromising quality. Beyond just feeding, the chef helps improve residents’ quality of life by providing enjoyable meals that promote appetite and social interaction. The pay for this position is starting at £18.50 per hour, increasing dependent on duties and shift times. Shift times are generally 12 hours to support the care staff in providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the residents. However, you may be asked to do varying different shift times based on what the client needs.
