Crynodeb
You will be involved in patient admission, introducing patients to the ward/department as directed by a registered nurse. You will assist in preparing patients for theatre, taking observations, helping complete admission details. You will look after patient post operatively with a trained nurse, taking observation, getting food and drinks. You will assist with toileting, escorting patients to and from the lavatory and recording outputs where necessary. You will assist with monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight. You will assist with patients' mobilisation, ensuring safe environment and using appropriate techniques. You will make beds and help to ensure the ward/department is kept clean, tidy and safe. You will communicate with patients and their relatives with care and compassion. You will report to the nurse in charge of the department matters of concern relating to patients and the ward/department environment. You will assist the multi professional team to prepare and support patients undergoing treatment and / or investigation maintaining privacy and dignity at all times. You will safeguard vulnerable adults. You will ensure the privacy and dignity of patients are met at all times. You will be adaptable and flexible to working in various areas of the department or ward as required.
