Are you a Graduate Teaching Assistant graduate looking to kick-start your teaching career?
An ambitious and high-performing secondary school in East London is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their support team from September 2025.
This is an ideal role for a Graduate Teaching Assistant looking to gain first-hand classroom experience before embarking on a School Direct teacher training programme the following academic year.
The Role - Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Support students aged 11-16 in English, Maths, or Science, depending on your specialism
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to help close learning gaps
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation, resource development, and classroom management
- Work closely with the SEN and pastoral teams to support students with additional needs
- May be required to cover pre-planned lessons in a range of subjects
- Play an active role in raising student attainment and engagement
About You - Graduate Teaching Assistant
- A recent degree holder in English, Maths, or Science (minimum 2:2 or above)
- An aspiring teacher interested in progressing onto the school's School Direct PGCE route
- Confident working with young people and passionate about education
- A team player who is proactive, adaptable and willing to learn
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
