The Client


Brightwork is delighted to be partnering with our client, a globally recognised leader in the Health, Wellbeing, and Life Sciences sectors. With a reputation for innovation and manufacturing excellence, they are now looking to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner to join their high-performing team at their site in North Ayrshire.

The Role


As a key member of the site-based leadership team, you will take on a dynamic and varied generalist HR role, responsible for delivering both strategic and operational support across all aspects of human resources. This is a hands-on position where you’ll play a crucial role in enhancing people practices, employee engagement, and organisational effectiveness within a unionised environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to support high-performing operational activities across the site
• Implement and enhance HR policies, systems, and procedures to meet strategic and operational needs
• Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on HR matters, including performance management and employee relations
• Work closely with union representatives, supporting collective bargaining and fostering positive industrial relations
• Lead recruitment efforts, attracting and securing top talent across a variety of roles
• Resolve complex people issues with practical, business-focused solutions
• Balance strategic HR planning with day-to-day operational execution

About You

• CIPD-qualified or equivalent in a relevant HR discipline
• Significant experience in a generalist HR Business Partner role, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, or life sciences
• Strong working knowledge of unionised environments is essential
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
• A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and people development
