Are you interested in learning about how recruitment works in our museums? Do you have good attention to detail and administrative skills, and enjoy building relationships?
About us
The Science Museum Group (SMG) is the world's leading group of science museums, and we're here to inspire futures.
Committed to this mission, our Talent Acquisition Team manage and oversee recruitment across the organisation at all levels. To support this work, we are now looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join us on a fixed term basis for 12 months, based at either our Bradford (National Science & Media Museum) or York (Railway Museum) sites.
About the role
As Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will support the team with administration, keeping an eye on recruitment campaigns, spotting trends and flagging to the team where additional attention on roles may be needed. You might support with organising and attending jobs fairs or assessment events, working with colleagues to position SMG as an 'employer of choice' in the areas where our museums are based. You will also get involved in projects around employer branding, improving resources for colleagues and assisting with training.
About you
Joining us as Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you'll be interested in learning more about how an inhouse recruitment team works. You'll support the team with essential administration - keeping on top of campaigns and using your attention to detail and proactive approach to identify trends and issues, and work with us to work through solutions. The work we do in Talent Acquisition is very people-focused, so you'll enjoy speaking to people, building relationships and supporting candidates, and generally being a friendly, responsive and supportive point of contact representing the team.
Don't feel you meet all the criteria? We welcome you to apply even if your experience doesn't match directly. With your transferable skills, you could be the right candidate for this, or other opportunities that we have.
