We are looking for a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join our team in Oswestry. You’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of HGVs and trailers, ensuring all work meets the highest safety and industry standards. Key Responsibilities of a HGV Technician
• Service, maintain, and repair HGVs and trailers to industry standards
• Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently
• Attend breakdowns at roadside or customer locations when required
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain vehicle care
• Liaise with parts departments to order components
• Ensure workshop tidiness and cleanliness
• Complete all job cards and service records accurately and on time
• Uphold Health & Safety regulations
• Participate in training and stay current with industry updates
Skills & Experience of a HGV Technician
• Proven experience in a similar role within a commercial vehicle workshop
• Recognised qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong diagnostic and repair abilities
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
• High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
Desirable but not essential:
• HGV or PSV Licence
• Experience using diagnostic equipment
