Summary

Assembly Technician
Doncaster – Permanent - £28-35K - Monday to Friday 37.5hours

Our Doncaster based client is looking to expand their Engineering team with an Assembly Technician. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a university graduate or an experienced quality orientated operative to develop a career within the green energy industry.

As an Assembly Technician your responsibilities will be:
Machining and assembling mechanical parts in line with engineering drawings (training can be provided for the right person).
Working with oxygen systems, oxygen cleaning and solid pipework such as stainless and twin ferruled systems (training can be given).
Carrying out all work in a clean environment to the highest accuracy and quality standards.
Using your understanding of general mechanical principles to be part of continuous improvement.
Documenting all work, report findings and highlight improvements to the design team.
Working closely with other team members to drive product and procedure development.

Assembly Technician; Key skills and experience required:
Qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline with engineering problem-solving capabilities.
Ideally, experience working in an engineering assembly environment, although university leavers will be considered.
Experience reading engineering drawings and P&IDs.
Knowledge of tubing systems, pipework/ bending and instrumentation.
High standard of written and verbal communication with excellent attention to detail.
Can-do attitude and ability to handle multiple projects.
Good experience in using common hand tools and power tools with good basic bench fitting skills.
Because this is a clean environment, applications from candidates with experience in food, medical or green power industries are encouraged.

Assembly Technician; Desirable skills:
Experience working with ATEx/IECEx equipment.
Experience working with oxygen rich processes.
