As a Senior Staff Nurse at our Barts Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.
As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will:
- Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring
- Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
- Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs
- Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
- Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
- Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training

Nuffield Health Barts Hospital
Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital: The City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital is now open. This is our flagship centre for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology services.
The new hospital will consist of:
- 48 inpatient and day case bedrooms
- 28 consultation rooms
- Three digital operating theatres
- Cardiac catheterisation lab
- Specialist intensive care beds
- Oncology day unit
- Endoscopy and minor ops theatre
- Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray
