We’re looking for a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our busy Tipton-based workshop. This is a great opportunity to work with a reputable main dealer group that values its people and offers strong progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic:
Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections, and mechanical repairs on HGVs
Diagnose faults using specialist tools and rectify them efficiently
Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely manner to manufacturer standards
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
Liaise with parts department to ensure correct components are sourced
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / Heavy Goods Vehicle Fitter:
Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
Experience in a dealership or fleet maintenance environment preferred
Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Full UK HGV Class 1 or 2 Licence (desirable but not essential)
Strong team player with the ability to work independently
